Hiring a guard

Are your guards licensed?

Yes. Every guard we send holds an Ontario security guard licence. You can ask to see a guard's licence at any time.

Is Ridgeline insured?

Yes, we are fully insured. If your contract, your condo board or your insurer needs proof, ask and we'll provide it.

Can we have the same guard each shift?

Tell us if consistency matters to you, for example in a condo lobby where residents get to know the guard. We plan the schedule with that in mind.

Do you provide short-term or one-off cover?

Yes. A long weekend on a construction site, a few weeks after a break-in or a single event are all common requests.

Patrols and alarms

What's the difference between a guard and a mobile patrol?

An on-site guard stays on your property for the whole shift. A mobile patrol visits several times through the night, checks the property and moves on. Patrols cost less; a guard gives constant presence.

What happens when my alarm goes off?

Dispatch sends a guard to your property. They check the outside and, if you've arranged access, the inside, then report what they found to you.

Is dispatch really open all night?

Yes. Dispatch runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays.

Quotes and contracts

How do I get a price?

Send the quote form with the address, the service and the hours you need. Prices depend on the hours, the number of guards and the site, so we quote each property on its own.

What do you need to know to quote?

Where the property is, what kind of property it is, the hours or days you need covered, when you want to start and anything that worries you, such as past break-ins.

Which areas do you cover?

Hamilton, Burlington, Stoney Creek and Ancaster. If you're just outside them, ask and we'll tell you whether we can cover you well.

Still have a question?

Put it in the message box of the quote form. You'll get an answer, with no obligation to go ahead.
